Bob Shealy

Bobby "Bob" Glynn Shealy, 72, husband of Kitty Suit Shealy for 50 years, died Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Shealy was born August 21, 1935, in Newberry to the late Gerald "Jack" O. Shealy and Oveeda Derrick Shealy. He retired as a special agent with the Grain Dealers Mutual Insurance Company, where he was a member of the 1752 Club. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a recipient of the Order of the Arrow. He was an alumnus of Presbyterian College, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Michael Shealy and his wife Anne Lewis; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Suit and his wife Dixie; a niece, Dr. Alisa Suit-Jacks; and a nephew, Kenny Suit.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Fletcher Funeral Service.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Newberry Memorial Gardens, officiated by Rev. Randy Derrick.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
